What is 16 for you? I am talking about age, here. I remember when I was 16, I sent a letter to a 7 years older senior, stating that I wanted to skip 17 and just jump into 21. I want to climb as many mountains as I can (I was a mountain climber at that time), without being objected by parents and teachers.
And time flies. This year, my little Pumpkin is turning 16. I don’t know what she feels, really. She’s way different in expressing her feelings than her mom. Emaknya kan jingklak-jingklak sambil teriak-teriak ya. She’s nothing like that at all. Alhamdulillah puji Tuhan, she’s so behave, giving me harder time trying to understand her.
Well…
This posting if for you, my little Monkey, I am sending you prayers and good wishes on your birthday. I wish your dreams come true, and that you live your life to the fullest.
And I also want to remind you, that we are still in our way to make the world a better place for you to live. We’re very sorry for that. So, I wish you don’t mind helping us to make our dreams come true, in case it haven’t.
Two more years you’ll no longer be a child.
Please be prepare for the wilder world. But let me tell you something, as I told you years ago. You will always have me as your mother and best friend. I will love you unconditionally. I will be there for you when your world falls apart ~ well, I really hope not.
About education,
You will learn a lot more from outside of the class, but please as long as you wear that uniform, just pretend that you like being a student, ok. You’ll leave your school before you knew it, and you’ll miss it.
About boys,
Please don’t take whatever they say too seriously for now. As you grow up, you’ll meet a lot more of better version of what you already seen now. So, just be patient.
About competition,
Hey, if you already know you’re not gonna win the game, don’t ever try to even go in. But if your gut feeling tells you that you are the champion, please go for it. But if you don’t win, just laugh at it real hard, snap it out, move on and chill!
Life is not a competition. Life is about enjoying the process. So enjoy it. Oh, look at me, a very competitive turned out wise speaking.
About dreams now,
When I was in your age, I remember having so many impossible dreams. And I also remember letting my dreams go one by one.
My little Bunny, please try to delete the impossible word in your dictionary. Impossible is the illusions of laziness, fear and lack of confidence.
